Success or failure can happen even before a contract is signed!

If either party fails to communicate their conditions of satisfaction then the likelihood of success has been reduced to an almost impossibility.  At Credence we practice a collaborative approach by engaging and educating the client with the design team with the goal of constructing a solution that solves the clients needs through any number of unorthodox approaches to the design, permitting, construction, inspection and turn over phases required of every construction project.  Communication is the key to managing expectations for both the client and the contractor.

Credence Construction is a Class A licensed State Certified General Contractor in the state of Florida. We are located in St. Petersburg, FL.  The Credence Construction team has experience in new home construction, retail, industrial, and office development and commercial construction. YOU GET WHAT YOU MEASURE FOR

Credence knows the only way to increase the likelihood of achieving a desired result is to measure the critical elements that define success for any project.  Credence utilizes Key Success Indicators (KSI’s) through the use of predetermined Critical Success Factors (CSFs).  The data is reviewed weekly by the entire company to ensure that all causal actions have been taken or if adjustments to the plan are required in order to meet the definition of success as defined by the client and Credence.  This is done in order to leverage the cumulative experience and knowledge of all team members in an environment of open dialogue and team coherence.

KSI’s are leading indicators as opposed to the traditional methods of gathering and analyzing data post hoc, which by their definition are historical or looking to the actions that have already occurred.  By employing a defined set  of leading indicators that are proven to result in a successful construction project Credence benefits from the achievements of the world’s leading construction project management research, techniques, benchmarks and science.  The result is reduced risk in the following areas; financial, performance, time, quality, etc.

Why should you care if your contractor employs KSI’s?  It is the equivalent of having a doctor diagnose a malady while it is still curable (KSI’s) versus only being able to diagnose the malady once the patient has suffered the full effects of the disease, which gone unnoticed most likely caused additional irreparable damage (traditional project management).

CONSTRUCTION TECH ISN’T JUST COOL, IT IS ESSENTIAL

We are proponents of applying new technologies to our way of doing business and documenting our work for our clients and for future use.  We recently adopted the use of 3D modeling for all of our mid to large jobs in an effort to better communicate with everyone involved in the design and construction process.  Below are several links to a 3D modeling software that we employ that allows us to communicate to the owner, or the architect, or a subcontractor, or anyone that has an interest in viewing progress without the need to physically travel to the job site.

RESIDENTIAL

This link demonstrates one of the new homes that we designed, permitted and constructed.  We started with a parcel of land covered with trees and selectively removed trees in order to preserve as many of the healthy trees possible.  The total time to design, permit, construct and obtain the Certificate of Occupancy was only approximately eight (8) months.

COMMERCIAL

 This link highlights the completion of the demolition of an entire floor plate of an office tower.  We actually used this tech to communicate with the architect, who was in a different city, to review the existing conditions and adjust the design accordingly.  It was also a fantastic tool to demonstrate the status of the work to the client that lives in another country.

This link depicts the same interior renovation as the second link but this model allows you to tour the space and see all of the framing, MEP rough-ins, and one side of the drywall (you can even zoom in to view the screw pattern!!).  The shots were done just before the inspections occurred so we could not cover both sides of the framing with drywall.

We will be updating as we progress through the remaining Scope of Work to demonstrate the quality of work product that we produce and the time it takes our teams to reach certain milestones and ultimately the only milestones that matters…
